Single Touch Payroll - Help!

Updated: Oct 10, 2019

Major change is coming for employers. From July 1st 2019 all employers are required to be using software that can submit their data to the ATO using Single Touch Payroll. Why the change? The ATO are wanting your information on a more frequent basis than they currently receive it. By more frequent, I mean every payroll event.

If you have over 20 employees, you should have already been doing this. If you have less than 20 employees, you have some time to get your processes into place. The best way to become STP compliant is to be using an online accounting package such as Xero for your accounting and payroll solution.

If you're in the position of still completing wages by pen and paper or excel spreadsheet and aren't ready to move your entire accounting system online, Xero will be offering a PAYROLL ONLY solution at a very affordable price to be announced.

To find out what you need to do to become compliant, please email us for advice on the most pain free way to start using STP. In a remote area of Australia? No problem - we have clients in all corners of the country and can work remotely and to suit you.
